Frequently Asked QuestionsLearn more to see if CBD is right for you!
What is CBD?
CBD is a chemical compound derived from the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance that can be used to invoke a feeling of relaxation and calmness. Unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce a euphoric “high” or psychoactive effect.
Is CBD safe?
There are no known cases of CBD leading to severe side effects or overdose. However, it’s important to keep in mind that every body is different. When taking CBD, start with small doses and work your way up slowly. If you begin to notice any negative side effects, reduce your dosage or stop taking CBD right away. The most commonly reported side effects associated with CBD are: drowsiness or dizziness, changes in mood, and upset stomach.
What’s the best way to use CBD?
As with any product, CBD dosage depends on your unique health goals and needs. The biggest differences between oils, edibles, and topical creams are speed of delivery and length of effects. Creams provide a more localized, fast acting effect while edibles and oils can sometimes take longer to work. The results can last anywhere between 30 minutes to 24 hours, depending on dosage and the condition it’s being used for.
Is CBD legal?
Yes! Hemp plants have been removed from the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) purview, and can now be freely grown under federal law and purchased by anyone who meets the minimum age requirements. But while it’s legal under federal law, it’s up to each state to set their own policies regarding CBD.
